Get down to the Queen’s Park Carnival on August 23rd

Kookin will be playing their stuff at the Queen’s Park Carnival on the 23rd of August alongside some of Glasgow’s best known DJ’s, such as JD Twitch, Andrew Divine, Furious Breaks and LOADS more!

This lovely wee event (I say wee but there is actually 15 DJ’s then an aftershow, so it ain’t wee) is all in the name of Childline and all the proceeds go straight to them so get on down and shake your thang!!

OTUS USB DJ controller; dj controller that works with Traktor

OTUS USB DJ controller, an amazing looking piece of kit

My friend colin was on the Traktor website looking for Traktor compatible USB midi controllers and he came across this beast!

The OTUS USB DJ controller is pretty special not only because of the way it looks, which is F’n SEXY!, but because you only need one to control 2 channels on Traktor.
I can’t yet say if it’s any good as it has not been released to the public but I am will travel my ass off to get a shot of one of these. Eks will release the OTUS USB DJ controller to the public in June and it is expected to retail at around £495.00.

This month our lovely club, Patefon, brings you the ‘mix-up’ sounds of Bradley C, B*licious and Preis to get you stepping on the dance floor!

If you have heard of Bradley C it’s most likely through FAT!, FAT! promotes ‘Chew The Fat!’ out of the Sub Club in Glasgow. ‘Chew the Fat!’ is known for it’s unique style of music that makes you dance, hence why we wanted this man to play with us.

B*licious backs this up with her blend of Funky Breaks, Disco Breaks, Hip-Hop Breaks, Breakbeat…we could go down this line all night; why don’t you just pop down and have a listen.

This month our club brings to Glasgow MC Glenskii; MC Glenskii, resident DJ at Sfinks club in Poland, will be displaying his skill as an MC at Patefon. We will get you a few links in a couple of days.
